WESTPORT — The Pudding Eating Contest is on the menu for activities at today’s Essex County Fair.
Set for 2 p.m., it puts dessert first for those who plan to enjoy breakfast for dinner at the John Longware Memorial pancake supper, starting at 5:15 p.m.
Other events sure to whet fair-goers’ enjoyment appetite include the high-wire Circus Incredible act, the horse and cattle shows, and, for a $3 per person grandstand fee, the Adirondack Tractor Pull Association Tractor Pulls at 5 p.m.
That’s on top of gate admission of $10 for anyone older than age 3, which includes parking, all midway rides and most shows.
Every day throughout the fair, which runs through Sunday, there’s lots to see and do, indoors and out.
That includes the baby-animal barn, antique exhibit, bossy bingo, beer garden, 4-H demonstrations and more.
There’s a Cornell Cooperative Extension master gardener on duty daily.
